Terms and Conditions

Guarantee, Vehicle Protection & Preparation Policy

  1. 2-year Guarantee on Bespoke Storage Systems
  2. 2-year Guarantee on Electrical Products
  3. 1-year Guarantee on Security Products (subject to maintenance)

All installations are covered by a 2-year guarantee with the exclusion of security products from the date of installation, covering defects in materials or workmanship only.

Guarantee terms are confirmed and full acceptance is agreed at the point the customer signs a works order form and pays their deposit. No work will proceed without acceptance of these terms.

1. What Is Covered Under the Guarantee

The guarantee applies solely to genuine manufacturing or workmanship defects that affect the performance or safety of the installed system.

Covered issues include:

  • Material failures
    Defects in supplied materials that compromise strength, safety, or functionality.
  • Manufacturing or build defects
    Errors arising from design, fabrication, assembly, or installation carried out by TVS Van Chimps.

Exclusions to Warranty Claims
The guarantee does not apply to issues occurring after installation or outside our control.

Not Covered:

  • General wear and tear from normal use
  • Accidental, deliberate, or misuse-related damage
  • Damage caused by external impact
  • Customer modifications or alterations after installation
  • Any work, repair, or adjustment carried out by third parties
  • Failure to perform general maintenance
  • Delays in reporting issues that causes further excess damage

Important:
If anyone other than TVS/Van Chimps works on any aspect of the installation or conversion, the guarantee will be void.

2. Vehicle Hand Over Process

Pre-Installation Inspection and Vehicle Condition Form (VCF)
Upon delivery to our facility a VCF will be completed, and pictures of the vehicle will be taken, if any damage is noted it will be pointed out and noted on the VCF and the document signed. The person presenting the vehicle to us must have the owner’s authority to sign the VCF on their behalf.

Post-Installation Inspection
Upon collection, the same process is repeated to document the final condition of the vehicle. Any issues must be highlighted at this time.

3. If Damage Occurs Whilst the Vehicle is in Our Custody

In the unlikely event a vehicle is damaged whilst with us, responsibility will be accepted and resolved by one of the following methods only:

  • Repair by TVS/Van CHIMPS or Approved Contractors
    Repairs will be completed in-house or through our approved network.
  • Payment at Trade Value
    If the customer chooses to repair elsewhere, compensation will be made at trade rate only, equivalent to what TVS/ Van Chimps would pay its approved contractors.
  • Retail repair rates are not payable.
    The chosen method will be agreed following inspection.

4. Warranty Claim Process

Step 4A – Report the Issue

Step 4B – Provide Evidence
Clear photo or video evidence must be supplied.
If evidence is insufficient, the vehicle must be returned to our installation facility in West Bromwich for inspection.
No work will commence until the issue is verified.

Step 4C – Management Review
Management will assess the claim and confirm whether it is approved or declined.

Step 4D – Repair or Replace
Approved claims result in repair or replacement only.
All work is completed by Van Fit Solutions or approved contractors exclusively.

5. Refund, Third-Party & Outsourcing Policy

These terms are non-negotiable:

  • No refunds — repair or replacement only
  • No third-party involvement — any third-party work voids the guarantee
  • No outsourcing — all work remains under TVS/Van Chimps control

6. Vehicle Preparation Policy

All vehicles must arrive empty, clean, and fully prepared for fitment.

  • Vehicles requiring clearing, tidying, or removal of unrelated items will incur an immediate £250 charge, unless agreed in writing beforehand.
  • Vehicles arriving dirty, full of rubbish, or containing non-relevant items will be charged.
  • If the vehicle arrives dirty and we are unable to complete the VCF, it will have to be washed and brought back.
  • Any existing racking or fittings must be removed prior to arrival.
  • Removed racking must be taken away by the customer. Failure to do so will result in an additional charge.
  • Customers must attend with an empty vehicle, bringing only tools or equipment relevant to the fitment.
  • Do not arrive with a full van of unrelated items.

 This policy exists to protect build quality, workshop efficiency, and allocated installation time.
Non-compliance may result in additional charges or refusal of work.

7. Acceptance of Terms

By paying a deposit, the customer formally agrees to:

  • The guarantee  terms
  • The bodywork inspection, VCF and damage resolution process
  • Trade-value-only compensation where applicable
  • The vehicle preparation requirements
  • The prohibition of third-party involvement

These terms ensure clarity, accountability, and protection for both the customer and TVS Van Chimps.
